The lens I received was decentered i.e. the left side of the photos (especially on large apertures) is much softer than the right side. Make sure you test yours.

Aside from its asking price, there's not much to gripe about with the Sony Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* E 24mm F1.8 ZA. It's an extremely sharp lens, even at the edges of the frame at f/1.8, and it focuses quite close.

"I have been using this on the NEX-7 for about 1 month. All I can say is the results are jaw-dropping. I always store my camera with this attached. It is my ""go-to"" lens for indoors and my favorite lens overall. Pros:The only NEX lens that does the 24mp NEX-7 justice.
