Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS Lens - Brand New review
It's a pricey lens, but right now it's the only E-mount option that works out-of-the-box for macro photography. It might be expensive, but you get an exceptionally sharp lens with some great features - certainly, worth the investment.

Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS Lens Review
As I said in the beginning of this review, the FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS Lens is a great choice for Sony kits and that I promised to tell you why. Basically, the "Why" is that this is a reasonably-sized, nicely-built, high-performing lens that is relatively affordable, is great fun to use and...
Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 G OSS macro ( SEL90M28G ) - Full Format Review / Lens Test
Sony's ramp up of their full format E-mount lineup is in rapid progress. This time we'll have a look at their first macro lens - the Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 G OSS macro. Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS Lens - Brand New review
After comparing the length of the pros and cons lists you know our assessment must be rather positive. To be honest the flaws we managed to find are not essential if you use the lens as it is supposed to be used.- shapely, sealed casing made mostly of metal,, excellent image quality in the frame centre,, very good image quality on the edge of the APS-C sensor,, good image quality on the edge of full frame,, lack of problems with spherical aberration,, negligible longitudinal chromatic aberration,, moderate...
- significant vignetting on full frame near the maximum relative aperture,, performance against bright light could have been better,, slow autofocus.
Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS Lens - Brand New review
The most prominent feature of this Sony lens is its construction quality. A lens that is resistant to moisture and dust is crucial in terms of durability and longevity. It will prove to be really useful for travelers and on-the-go photographers due to its lightweight, yet truly sturdy build.- Resistant to dust and moisture, Direct drive feature for precise focusing, Has both auto and manual focusing features, OSS stabilization feature creates great, quality macro pictures, Super ED glass elements ensure minimum flare and distortion
- Good for videography, Ideal 1:1 magnification ratio, More affordable than other alternatives, Lens-based stabilization offers a great quality of images, Compact and lightweight design, making it travel-friendly
Very good macro lens, Bokeh could be better.
The Sony 90mm Macro lens is extremely sharp with minimal distortion. The build in OSS works well. The camera body is constructed of mostly metal, including the focusing ring. The push/pull AF/MF switch is convenient to use.
Love It!
I've used the Nikon 200mm f2.8 before. A Macro was a must as I stepped off into the Sony system. It focuses quickly with a hint of searching if the contrast isn't there. So far, I'm enjoying it to the max!!! It inspired me to shoot some of the flowers that I bought for my wife.
