Amazing macro lens!
I'm a full time professional wedding photographer based in Monterey, CA. After 20 plus years of being a Canon shooter, I recently switched platforms and I'm now a Sony shooter. This particular Sony lens is sharp. Very sharp.

Sony FE 90 f2.8 Macro G lense
Ive had this lenses a coupe weeks and I am very impressed with the sharpness if this lense. I have two Gmaster lenses and the 90 macro is the sharpest with great boken, making it a great portrait lense also. The 1/1 macro is terrific and the autofocus is faster than I expected.

Love It!
I've used the Nikon 200mm f2.8 before. A Macro was a must as I stepped off into the Sony system. It focuses quickly with a hint of searching if the contrast isn't there. So far, I'm enjoying it to the max!!! It inspired me to shoot some of the flowers that I bought for my wife.

The sharpest lens period!
I purchased this lens around 3 weeks ago mainly for some Macro work and boy does it deliver. I now use this more often than I thought I and also use it for portrait work too. This is a no brainer if you are looking to add this to your collection. 10/10!!!

Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS Lens - Brand New review
After comparing the length of the pros and cons lists you know our assessment must be rather positive. To be honest the flaws we managed to find are not essential if you use the lens as it is supposed to be used.
Pros:
- shapely, sealed casing made mostly of metal,, excellent image quality in the frame centre,, very good image quality on the edge of the APS-C sensor,, good image quality on the edge of full frame,, lack of problems with spherical aberration,, negligible longitudinal chromatic aberration,, moderate...
Cons:
- significant vignetting on full frame near the maximum relative aperture,, performance against bright light could have been better,, slow autofocus.
