Not With a Bang, but a Whimper

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is set not too long after the events of RE5 . It features Clare Redfield, who is part of TerraSave, a human rights organization that was formed in the aftermath of the biological terror attacks from the previous games.

When Resident Evil Revelations 2 begins it is a somewhat rocky start, but it does even out nicely. It starts with a very slick looking CGI cut-scene that is on par with the two CG movies where the main characters are introduced.

At the outset of Resident Evil Revelations 2 , players are greeted with a very promising product: four episodes of terror, meant to hearken back to the true survival-horror roots of the Resident Evil series.

It's a bit odd that Resident Evil: Revelations 2 goes with Kafka as a motif. Sure, the plot involves the literal metamorphosis of an old foe and, in classic over-the-top Resident Evil fashion, is a convoluted mess-terpiece of mythological references to viruses and visionaries from previous games.
