Episode 1: Penal Colony is a nice introduction for Resident Evil's first steps in episodic waters. It may seem low-budget at times, but overall it's a superb entry for the series and I personally cannot wait for Episode 2…

The Resident Evil franchise has seen its share of ups and downs as it tries to find an identity while retaining what made it popular in the first place. The first Resident Evil Revelations was a pleasant surprise, modernizing the series with faster gameplay while still retaining its horror and...
At the outset of Resident Evil Revelations 2 , players are greeted with a very promising product: four episodes of terror, meant to hearken back to the true survival-horror roots of the Resident Evil series.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is a mixed bag of survival horror and action gameplay that is enjoyable to play, but never hits the level of greatness that the series used to be known for. The episodic structure is an intriguing experiment, but its reliance on repeated locations will tire most players.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 is a breath of fresh air for a franchise that has had an unfortunate rocky decline lately. Over the course of 4 episodes, Revelations 2 kicks off with a promising start in Penal Colony.
Suspenseful plot moments; Seamless use of both characters in combat; Raid Mode
