The camera came quickly. I put it into action and it took great pictures. It is sharp and the color looks great.

Low light performance is amazing. Autofocus works well, so does bracketing and WiFi connectivity. Highly recommended.

When we reviewed the Nikon D5300 14 months ago it was a case of close but no cigar. There's no shortage of superb SLRs and compact system cameras (CSCs) around the £650 price mark, and the D5300 didn't do enough to stand out. Note: Review, specs and priced based on 18-55mm VR II kit.

I wanted a more pro version camera without going into a full body design. This is definitely the camera, packed with so many features and the body is so compact and light it just grips into my hand perfectly. It's my 3rd SLR over allot of years and it's by far my best investment yet.

Does what it's suppose to do. Keeps the charge and is fast to re-charge. I have a few of these for my cameras. Allows me to go shutter crazy!

Nikon's D5500 is a good starter camera for new DSLR buyers. Just make sure you pair it with a good lens.
