Great DSLR Camera for Quality Photography

Although many turn to their smartphones today to take photos the Nikon DSLRs are still top quality cameras. The D5500 is the first time I have gotten a feature that I have long wanted; the ability to have a wireless connection to a tablet or other WiFi device.

Great Bundle from a Legit Seller

I searched the internet for a good bundle deal for this camera. I knew this was the one I wanted from various ratings. The bundle packages on the internet/Amazon were either not as good or from some shady dealer in New York.

everything i need right out of the box

no cons great bundle

Nikon D5500 is a compact and lightweight DSLR camera that clicks great quality images and comes packed with features a photography enthusiast would ever need. It lacks aperture control but overall it's a great bet with decent battery backup.

Excellent image quality; compact and light; 3.2-inch fully articulating LCD screen; advanced Auto ISO controls; decent battery life

No aperture control or Auto ISO in movie mode; basic smartphone app

Awesome DSLR

This is my first Nikon DSLR and I am very happy with it. Picture quality is excellent and the controls easy to use. The menu is easy to navigate. Touch screen is fun to use as well. The camera is reasonable light to carry during day trips and easy to handle.

Easy to use; Build quality; Battery life

Nikon D5500 Review

In recent times, we noticed that Nikon has fallen in to a trend of releasing a new version of their DSLR camera almost once every year. But instead of giving the new models a complete design/feature overhaul, these "new" models are mostly a reincarnation of the old ones plus the addition a few new...

Compact and lightweight body; Decent build quality for an entry-level camera; Improved camera grip; Articulating display; Display offers good outdoor legibility and is responsive to touch inputs; Relatively fast autofocus; Addition of new 3D Subject Tracking feature; Good image quality and noise...

Lacked GPS module; Autofocus is quite noisy when shooting video; Mirror slaps during shooting a picture is quite loud

Nikon's new D5500 dSLR camera is a mid-range model available now for purchase. This 24-Megapixel DX Format (APS-C) camera features a 39-point AF system, 3.2-inch Vari-Angle Touch LCD screen, Built-in WiFi, Full 1080p HD Video capture and an automatic scene selection mode; giving you the maximum...

Auto and Program modes are accurate and provide outstanding image quality; Dedicated Video Capture Button is always ready to record; Nikon F mount allows you to use the huge selection of lenses; Excellent overall image quality at all ISO levels; 921k dot LCD provides great color and a ton of detail,...

Only one command dial slows down your adjustments when shooting manually; but keeps the body simple; Priced slightly higher than most entry-level dSLRs; but worth the extra cost

If you're looking for an entry-level D-SLR, then the D5500 should definitely be on your shortlist. It's got all the features you'd expect from a camera in this category, as well as a few pleasant surprises.
