Simply Brilliant

I'm fortunate to also own a D7200 with a 16-85mm zoom. I bought the D5500 because it would be lighter to carry and I'm not a great lover of compact cameras. To sum this camera with the 18-55 VR II lens up in one word - SUPERB. Don't underestimate the quality of the lens either.

Bright LCD; Comfortable Controls; Easy To Use; Flip Out Screen; Great Image Quality; Image Stabilisation; Lightweight; Touch Screen

Brilliant quality images

Upgraded from the Nikon D3200. Immediately feels smaller in the hand. Good, quality product. Excellent, clear, bright images produced from new processor. Still battling my way through the various systems, but basic 'point-and-shoot' mode covers most situations.

D5500

I bought a Nikon D5500, Ritz had it on sale for by far the cheapest I'd seen it!! I love it! It got here fast and I've been using it for about a month now!

Amazing Photos / Great Nikon Kit

I've been doing photography for years, including darkroom work, and decided to upgrade when I found a Nikon that had what I wanted on it. I've held off for a long time and finally found the price and features I wanted at Sam's. This package has Nikon glass.

Nikon D5500 Review

For Nikon, the D5000 series of cameras is a way to have multiple entry-level DSLRs to suit all budgets. Rather than upgrading a model and discontinuing the last one, Nikon keeps roughly three D5000-series models going at the same time.

High-resolution sensor with no optical low-pass filter gives good image quality; Quick autofocus system; Great colour rendition

Lacks control buttons; No built-in GPS module

Nikon D5500 review

A tempting, beginner-friendly DSLR.

Detailed images; Monocoque design; Articulated touchscreen

Relatively cramped viewfinder

Great DSLR Camera for Quality Photography

Although many turn to their smartphones today to take photos the Nikon DSLRs are still top quality cameras. The D5500 is the first time I have gotten a feature that I have long wanted; the ability to have a wireless connection to a tablet or other WiFi device.
