Nikon Coolpix AW110

The Nikon Coolpix AW110 ($349.95 direct) is the follow-up to the AW100 , a tough compact that won our Editors' Choice award when we reviewed it back in late 2011. The 16-megapixel AW110 improves upon the earlier model in small ways, including an improved underwater depth rating and built-in Wi-Fi,...

Sharp OLED display; Built-in Wi-Fi with remote viewfinder support; Integrated GPS; Waterproof to 59 feet; Action button.

Not the best performance in low light; Narrow aperture compared with the competition; Image sharpness suffers at edges of frame.

This is a great camera for underwater pics and to take with you on a more rough environment like ski slopes but for anything else it doesn't worth the money. The pics quality is pretty poor (my phone actually makes better pics) and the menu is not very intuitive.

Nikon Coolpix AW110

With the Coolpix AW110, Nikon corrects an injustice. With cellphone connectivity ubiquitous, and tethering common, photographers everywhere want to get their photos off their cameras more quickly these days.

What more would you want out of a device which gives you crash protection from 2 metres height and waterproof upto 60 feet. All my extreme scuba diving excursions can now be captured. Nikon delivers the best when it comes to quality innovations at great price. I just loved this camera.

Very happy so far...

Purchased this camera to replace the my older point ant shoot I went snorkeling with in the pocket of my trunks that was not designed to get wet... I have used it once snorkeling as well as indoors and outdoors on cruise ship excursions and like the camera very well (over 4 days).

Nikon Coolpix AW110

In January of 2013, Nikon introduced two more durable "Life-proof" style cameras. Life-proof point-and-shoot cameras are built with outdoor activities in mind. They're great for snorkeling, hiking, and many winter and summer sports.

A really good all-around camera

I bought this AW110, as opposed to some other pocket-sized unit, because I do underwater photos. I've started to do underwater video as well as stills. The ability to shoot high-def video down to as deep as I wish to dive is a real plus, and the macro ability is excellent.

Easy To Use; Fast/accurate auto-focus; Good Image Quality; Good Image Stabilization; Large Clear LCD; Short Lag Time; Small / Compact

No Viewfinder

Fan - Frickin - Tastic

Brought the camera for a family holiday to Hawaii. Takes great photos day after day, morning or night! Took it into the sea and worked like a charm, took photos left, right and center. The movies came out great as well. Love it.

Easy to use; Compact; Build quality; Battery life; Screen size

Best of Both Worlds

The Nikon AW110 is by far the best underwater camera

lightweight; shockproof; waterproof

expensive; poor back lighting on screen

Nikon AW110 - A camera I can't break

"I recently bought this camera as I have lot of travelling coming up. As someone who is known for breaking everything she touches I needed something robust and this camera certainly delivered. The camera is waterproof to 18m, shockproof to 2m has GPS, wifi and world map display.

Robustness; Image quality; Editing options; Battery life

Slightly on the bulky/ heavy side for most cameras these days
