Great camera! Great quality pics! Great performance underwater and ashore! Loads of features! Easy to use! A floating wrist strap would've been nice.

With the Coolpix AW110, Nikon corrects an injustice. With cellphone connectivity ubiquitous, and tethering common, photographers everywhere want to get their photos off their cameras more quickly these days.
The rugged Nikon Coolpix AW110 is a modest update to its predecessor, the AW100. It can go deeper under water and adds Wi-Fi, but still suffers at high ISO settings. (3.5 out of 5) Pros Sharp OLED display Built-in Wi-Fi with remote viewfinder support Integrated GPS Waterproof to 59 feet Action...
Sharp OLED display; Built-in Wi-Fi with remote viewfinder support; Integrated GPS; Waterproof to 59 feet; Action button; 5x zoom range
Not the best performance in low light; Narrow aperture compared with the competition; Image sharpness suffers at edges of frame; So-so high ISO image quality
If this is your first toughcam and, for some reason, you cannot find an AW100 for sale anywhere else, then by all means purchase a Coolpix AW110. This is especially relevant if you plan to use your new adventure cam for serious adventuring, like diving or climbing.
In January of 2013, Nikon introduced two more durable "Life-proof" style cameras. Life-proof point-and-shoot cameras are built with outdoor activities in mind. They're great for snorkeling, hiking, and many winter and summer sports.
Purchased this camera to replace the my older point ant shoot I went snorkeling with in the pocket of my trunks that was not designed to get wet... I have used it once snorkeling as well as indoors and outdoors on cruise ship excursions and like the camera very well (over 4 days).
The rainy season is here and this is possibly the most dangerous time of the year for all your electronic gadgets. If you are an avid shutterbug, then your camera is also one such gadget you don't want to get wet.
Waterproof, Dustproof; Shockproof; Good performance; Great OLED screen; Wi-Fi remote control from smartphones; Various filters; Price
Noticeable fringing in macro shots; Lacks manual control; Wi-Fi doesn't support web uploading and printing
I have been researching for a new digital camera for quite some time. I needed a camera that would work well in low light conditions primarily so other added benefits were the waterproof function as i an often at the ocean either fishing and or crabbing etc and now i do not have to worry about this...
The Nikon AW110 is by far the best underwater camera
lightweight; shockproof; waterproof
expensive; poor back lighting on screen
"I recently bought this camera as I have lot of travelling coming up. As someone who is known for breaking everything she touches I needed something robust and this camera certainly delivered. The camera is waterproof to 18m, shockproof to 2m has GPS, wifi and world map display.
Robustness; Image quality; Editing options; Battery life
Slightly on the bulky/ heavy side for most cameras these days
