What We Love. The Canon RF 24-105mm F/4 L IS USM may just be the most impressive kit lens we've ever had the pleasure of using. It's easy to love, not only because it looks like a badass mounted on the EOS R system, but also because it boasts a performance you wouldn't expect from a "kit lens.
Pros:

- Constant aperture is a plus
- Weather sealing
- Rugged construction
- Easy handling
- Control ring available
- Minimal ghosting and flare
- Hardly any distortion
- Minimal chromatic aberration

- Some corner softening at widest apertures
- Tiniest signs of barrel distortion

Canon RF f/4L IS USM Lens review
If we look at this just as a lens for a camera system then the cost is about right and the performance is excellent. So, for users of this system this is a very fine standard zoom and in fact pretty much the only choice at the moment. It absolutely delivers the goods.
Pros:

The growing pains of a just-born camera system are something early adopters must endure. I don't think Canon did itself a favor by omitting a budget option from its first batch of RF lenses, but that doesn't take away from the quality you get from the RF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM.
