I tried and tried to get the Bushnell BackTrack G2 Hand Held GPS to work with no luck. My wife did get it to work one time. Everytime I tried to backtrack the thing would go back to the start menu. Maybe defective, I don't know. Returned it to the store.

I read a favorable review of the BackTrack in a hunting/outdoors magazine and was interested in trying one out - but the original $80 price tag (for such a basic unit) was a bit rich for me.

I bought this based on the description on the box stating that it could store up to three locations. My misunderstanding; you cannot enter locations, you can only mark locations where you are physically located so you can get back to them.

I purchased the Back-Track D-TOUR to record my runs and map my total distance. It has worked perfectly so far and has the added feature of pointing me back to my starting point if I choose to mark it. The Back-Track D-TOUR is very simple to use.

This little thing saved my life while hunting in the Colorado rockies. Got lost in a white out blizzard and it took me right back to camp. Best money I ever spent.

I bought this for quick hike and shorter outings where a conventional GPS unit is not really needed. It does the job well and the price was right. Also makes a great back up to your full size GPS, in case it goes down. My only complaint is it is a little bigger than I anticipated.
