Altimeter is not accurate and can not download my daily trip on my pc ( window xp ).Call for technical support but the guy wasn't very helpful

Recently I received a very cool gadget from Bushnell most people know Bushnell for their binoculars. But recently Bushnell has started making GPS units. And the Backtrack is one of their new GPS units one of the smallest ones about the size of the stopwatch.

Used it for the first time today. In woods hunting. Easy to find your way out of wilderness without fear of getting lost. Simple and easy to use - no complicated instructions, etc. Need a way to delete old waypoints (locations). Only way now is to identify a new location.

This is an excellent little device for insurance when camping in new territory. It often takes a minute or two to get started and sometimes initial activation seems to be delayed when surrounded by tall trees. Once it is active for the day, it comes back on line down the trail more quickly.

Randy: Which BackTrack do you have I had the same issue on the original until I learned that all digital compasses need to be calibrated, my Suunto is the same way. I flipped it in the air a couple of times instead of following the video I found on the website and it was accurate from then on,...

I bought this based on the description on the box stating that it could store up to three locations. My misunderstanding; you cannot enter locations, you can only mark locations where you are physically located so you can get back to them.
