Brother ImageCenter ADS-3000N Review
Aimed at midsize to large workgroups and midsize offices, the Brother ImageCenter ADS-3000N document scanner ($699.99) offers a 50-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF), a 5,000 page-per-day duty cycle, a rated speed of 50 pages per minute (ppm) and 100 images per minute (ipm), and the option to connect it by either USB 3.0 or Ethernet at up to 1Gbps. Brother's scan utility is a little limiting, but the ADS-3000N($619.98 at Amazon) largely makes up for that with extras, like the ability to scan to a phone or tablet via a Wi-Fi access point on your network.
In most ways, the ADS-3000N is simply a faster version of the Brother ImageCenter ADS-2400N. The two models share the same dimensions and weight of 9.8 by 12.1 by 10.2 inches (HWD) and 9 pounds 13 ounces, identical controls on the front panel, and nearly the same set of software.
