Beats Powerbeats Pro Review

A secure fit, easy operation, and a bass-forward sound signature make the Powerbeats Pro ideal true wireless earphones for Beats fans. We weren't impressed by Apple's second-gen AirPods, but the company also owns Beats, and the new true wireless Powerbeats Pro couldn't be more different from them. The Powerbeats offer stronger audio performance, easier controls, and a more secure fit, for a better overall user experience. The only thing we aren't fans of is the price, a high $249.95. But it's no secret that Beats charges a premium for branding, and if you're a fan of the company's design and deep-bass sound signature, you won't be disappointed. Design Available in black, blue, ivory, or moss models, the Powerbeats Pro earpieces have a sleek design, with a smooth, matte finish and ear hooks that grip the ear firmly, without feeling uncomfortable. An adjustable grip helps the eartips create an excellent in-ear seal with an exceptionally secure fit. Along with four total pairs of silcone eartips in four sizes, it's hard to imagine these earphones falling out during exercise. That said, they can be a little difficult...
Pros:
  • Powerful audio performance with intense bass depth and bright highs
  • Strong battery life
  • Exceptionally secure in-ear fit
Cons:
  • Expensive
  • Wildly sculpted sound signature
  • Auto-play feature isn't for everyone

Cons:

The only earbuds more recognizable than the tortured white teardrops that are AirPods might be Powerbeats. These things look like rubberized hoop earrings glued to plastic boxes, flipped upside down and strung together with a dorky wire. Well, at least they used to look like that.
Pros:
  • Awesome connectivity
  • very comfortable
  • great sound
Cons:
  • Bulky case
  • big price tag

Beats Powerbeats Pro Totally Wireless Earphones - Black MV6Y2PA/A review

If you can overlook the jumbo charging case and high price, the Powerbeats Pro true wireless headphones are superior to the AirPods in a few key ways.
Pros:
  • The Powerbeats Pro have better sound and battery life than the AirPods and will stay on your ears securely
  • They offer all the same basic conveniences of the 2019 AirPods, including fast pairing, rock-solid wireless connectivity and always-on Siri voice-recognition for iOS users.
Cons:
  • The Powerbeats Pro are more expensive than AirPods
  • The charging case isn't pocket-friendly, nor does it offer wireless charging
  • The headphones deliver some treble push, and may not fit all ears perfectly.

Powerbeats Pro review: An upgrade over AirPods in almost every way

I'm still torn on whether or not I like using the Powerbeats Pro more than the AirPods. I like the idea of better battery life, but then again, I rarely find myself completely draining the AirPods in one listening session.
Pros:
  • Sound quality
  • Battery life
Cons:
  • Can take some time to get comfortable
  • The charging case is bulky
