Oprah's Favorite Things 2019: Beats Powerbeats Pro, Echo Dot Kids

Need gift suggestions this holiday shopping season? No worries: Oprah Winfrey has your back. The beloved media icon just released her "Favorite Things" list of 2019 on Amazon, and it's not all cozy blankets and pajamas. Oprah has some solid tech suggestions this year, including the Beats Powerbeats Pro true wireless earphones, which would make a great gift for any gym rat, and the new Echo Dot Kids Edition, designed for children ages 3 and up. "Sweat- and water-resistant earbuds are the perfect workout partners," Oprah says of the Powerbeats Pro. "These have a charging case and offer up to nine hours of uninterrupted listening time, which means you could make it through a whole marathon without running out of juice." The $249.95 Powerbeats Pro are among PCMag's favorite completely wire-free earphones on the market. They earned an excellent rating in our review and praise for their "powerful audio performance with intense bass depth and bright highs," "strong battery life," ...

They normally cost $249.95, but you can score a pair at Amazon right now for $199.95, or 20 percent off, with free shipping. The Powerbeats Pro feature "adjustable, secure-fit earhooks" that should ensure they stay in place during workouts. They're sweat- and water-resistant and promise up to 9 hours of listening time, plus their case holds an additional 24 hours of charge. There are volume and track controls on each earbud, and you can use your voice to summon Siri hands-free. At less than a year old, they already have more than 1,500 5-star reviews on Amazon. Unlike Apple's second-gen AirPods, which failed to truly impress us, the Powerbeats Pro true wireless earbuds earned an excellent rating in PCMag's review. Not worth it

These were great... For 3 weeks. The left one died and would not charge. Took it back to Harvey Norman and they don't warrant them so had to send off to Apple to assess. That was 2 weeks ago, still waiting. Try something else or buy direct from apple.

Beats Powerbeats Pro review

The true wireless Powerbeats Pro a big step up for the Apple-owned headphone brand. They have their limitations (see: lack of noise-cancellation, limited noise isolation and IPX4 rating), but they are Apple’s most premium workout buds.
Pros:
  • Easy pairing with iOS
  • Immaculate fit
  • Enjoyable sound
Cons:
  • Case is fairly bulky
  • Limited noise isolation
  • Only IPX4 rated

Best headphones Ive had!

Love the Powerbeats pro cos they actually stay out on my ears AND they dont hurt so I can have them in all day. Ive always had issues with finding headphones that tick both of those boxes and pretty much tried everything out there with no success. Sound quality is amazing and I love the charging case and instant connectivity. Highly recommended!
