Wireless router is being used with a Arris SURFboard modem because I wanted the good performance of a MIMO wireless router rather than being limited by the performance of an all-in-one Modem/Wireless Router. The wireless range now is much better than with my previous Wireless router (from Verizon).

We use this unit with our customers who receive symmetrical gigabit Internet service. Wired connections will easily achieve 9xxMbps in both directions with this unit (many retail level routers with gigabit ports fail in the face of actually trying to route traffic this fast).

It is very nice. The setup was bothersome because to access the router via a browser I had to use an IP that I've never used before and nowhere in any booklet or on the router itself was there an explanation to this, I had to google for a good hour or two before I realized this awkward IP address...

i brought this router for personal use and it is easy to set up even for the novice with great wifi reception throughout the house even plugged in my printer via the USB port to the network for everyone to use With the Asus app, you can monitor your internet via your phone which is a great feature...

Easy to setup and use, good speed and range. Your wifi may disconnect periodically after updating the firmware, just perform a factory reset and the problem should be fixed (you will still retain the updated firmware).

The RT-AC66U offers plenty of tweaking options, although novice users won't have to do much if any adjusting. The router is backward compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n, so it can be used with all existing Wi-Fi-capable devices. Stellar at 5 GHz.
