Don't buy unless you are willing to junk it when it stops working--product became unusable after 6 months and it is impossible to reach their tech support (I have wasted hours trying to reach).
Initially (when it worked) high speed; even when not using AC protocol; Good software interface
Wireless became highly unstable, dropping devices and/or not letting them connect, after 6 months; After 9 months, wireless did not work at all; TECH SUPPORT IS WORTHLESS--they do not answer; DO NOT BUY FROM ASUS, WHICH DOES NOT SUPPORT USERS
I love my new router. It has been in service for 2 weeks and I have a house full of wireless devices and I can already tell that my bandwidth load handling is better. You do get what you pay for and this was definitely worth it.
I paid a lot of money for this product. In the $200 range which I'd consider a large purchase. I read a lot of reviews on it prior to and it was often times ranked #1 in the market.
Simple to set up. Signal strength far more powerful than my old Trendnet. No need to reset in the 2 weeks it's been in action. Actual wireless transmission speeds more than 10 mbps upload and download -- more than twice my old Trendnet.
This is a good router with better features. Speed not as per specification. It again depends on the speed of the wireless adapter of your laptop. I just get connectivity of 72 Mbps I haven't seen any change in speed in my usage compared to my old one Linksys WRT54G G router.
Easy To Set Up
It's a router with a fast cpu and generous RAM. It is quite overkill if there's few users and devices. It is also future-proof for Wifi AC capable devices since right now, only my smartphone is AC capable.

We didn't really have enough time to get used to all capabilities of IEEE 802.11n standard and now it is going to be replaced by another, newer one, IEEE 802.11ac. ASUS RT-AC66U wireless router that our laboratory hosts today has support of this very standard.
Ability to create up to three guest network in each wireless range; Support of IEEE 802.11ac; Ability to backup the uplink via 3G and 4G networks; Support of IPv6; Excellent data transmission speeds in the wireless segment of the network; A built-in PPTP server; The device boots really fast; Ability...
Low routing and NAT speeds; The device deadlocks upon operation with an external HDD with NTFS; Inability to install add-ons; The web-interface is not completely translated
This router is fantastic, second one I have purchased, the first one is in my house and this second one is for one of my family members. The range is fantastic, and the interface is easy to learn and understand.
Set up was so easy, I was able to do it with my cell phone. Range is great in our building even with all the wiring and heavy machinery and has a good solid signal.
