For the price, you can get a cheap Zeiss. But for quality, the Nikon Monarch is better. The lens is clear and crisp, wide enough yet not widest, not the brightest one I've ever tried, maybe because it lacks T* coating. Build quality is good, in some point better than Germany HD.
Close Focus; Quality Lenses; Strong Construction; Works Well With Glasses
Bright Optics and easy to use
Durable; Lightweight; Simple Controls
I use these binoculars for birdwatching and general viewing and find them quite the best binoculars I have ever used. (Note the implied caveat: I'm no binocular expert and I'm sure there are better binoculars out there, though probably at higher prices.
I'm currently on my second pair of these. The first pair split right down the middle effectively giving me two monoculars. The second pair which I currently have, the eye piece on the left eye fell out. I was less concerned when I saw it was threaded thinking it had somehow backed out.
A good value I am very pleased with my new Zeiss Terra ED 8x42 Binocular . I graduated from a pair of Nikon Monarch 3 binos, which I was never completely satisfied with. By comparison, these Zeiss binoculars have incredible clarity of vision throughout the field.
