Western Digital My Passport Pro: A hefty portable RAID

What's striking about Western Digital's My Passport Pro portable hard drive is its size and weight. The 4TB version I tested weighs 1.58 pounds, which is light when compared to your average five-pound clay brick.

Excellent product- Prompt delivery

Great External hard disk with size, design, software tools. Even after using it for extended hours, HD is not heating. Pretty cool with this. I am little disappointed with the USB 2.0 transfer speed. It is around 25 MBPS which is lesser than my older HD. But other than everything is great with this.

Review: Western Digital My Passport

These tiny My Passport drives from Western Digital earn our recommendation for a few reasons. They're extremely small and portable, they're capable of both USB 2.0 and 3.0 speeds, and priced between $90 and $180, they're quite affordable.

Extreme portability; No external power supplies or power cables required; You can set up password protection and hardware encryption

Fast enough for everyday use, but not the fastest; Not the cheapest, either

New USB connector HORRIBLE

The new smaller USB connector (smaller than the standard mini USB on the 360GB) on the Passport is horrible. A slight touch and it loses connection, causing the dreaded "device removed unexpectedly" warning. This happened 3 times today in my first us...

Western Digital My Passport Essential (160GB) Review

We love the colors that WD makes available for the My Passport Essential family, and its included backup solutions. Plus, you get an additional 40GB of storage over the LaCie little disk for $10 less.

Western Digital Passport Essential Portable 250GB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive

The product shipped really fast and works really well with no issues. I am happy that it transfers data really fast since I have tons of huge picture files on my pc that I wanted to backup using this. The pink color is a huge bonus for me!
