The My Cloud EX2 Ultra is, effectively, a 2-bay NAS casing, an upgrade of its predecessor, the My Cloud EX2. As with the EX2, the Ultra provides remote and cloud access to your personal files. This makes for secure sharing across different devices, whether it be home or office use.
WD or Western Digital has been making hard drives for quite a long time. A few years ago they introduced their WD Red drives that were made specifically for network-attached storage (NAS) devices. WD currently offers three different levels of NAS devices.

Backup has never been more crucial considering the huge amount of data we're consuming daily, especially if you're a content producer like a photographer or videographer, backups are important even for people who deal with office documents.
More complicated than needed menus need to be simplified. Requiring third party app to access data stored on device.
If you want total control over your files and to access them from anywhere and you don't mind a fairly steep up-front cost, the My Cloud EX2 Ultra is the way to go.

Mycloud server goes down every 10 days, and you can not remotely access data, it also impacts the internal usage of the server as well at times; Very unreliable; I will never ever buy another NAS device from WD; Also very slow read/write, nothing like they have advertised
