A good buy, but it is a 3400 rpm drive, not 7200. I should have perused the specs more carefully. Basically only good for storage of data. Not suitable for editing video as I had planned.

The second my book that I have installed and it works as well as the first one. Good value and great transfer speed. Will buy another as needed

It worked fine for about 2 years, but almost exactly on the 2 year anniversary of the date that I bought it, my computer wouldn't recognize it, saying that the drive had malfunctioned. This is my 4th WD hard drive to fail. Stay far, far away from this.

I really like it as I was able to transfer all of my photos and other stuff on it in one location. I'm happy with it. The only thing I did was to format it to a Gpt. I do prefer WD drives over other brands.
