InXile Entertainment took it upon themselves to bring back a true gem from the past. Wasteland is a game that hails from a long-forgotten age of RPGs. The short version is that Wasteland is sort of a predecessor to Fallout, and it served as inspiration for the Fallout franchise in general.

There's a cool sense that your choices make an impact on the world around you; and some missions were exciting; especially when you have to decide the faith of certain colonies

Unpolished in many aspects; ranging from gameplay to AI; story won't be the reason why you'd eventually return to this game; it's just not thrilling enough; the ambience is slightly underwhelming

Wasteland 2 , a sequel to an '80s classic and a spiritual successor to the '90s Fallout titles, was a game few were clamoring for, but many fans of computer RPGs were eager to support through Kickstarter given the opportunity.

I'm so disturbed by this game... terribly disappointed. I played the original Wasteland on a Commodore 64 and still consider it to be one of the greatest games ever made. If I had to make a top ten list, Wasteland might be #1. But this god awful POS? I'm not a big graphics person, but come on...

"You vaguely remember a child's rhyme... something about a flag and a nation. Childish notions indeed." I don't exactly remember which part of Wasteland 2 that quote is from, but it, more than anything else, highlights what the game is about.

Clash between the modern and the old is grating

Wasteland 2 is genuine fun, packed with enough lore to make you want to keep exploring and adventuring, well past your bedtime.

It can be fiddly in terms of its interface and there's still a few bugs here and there

I revised my score from a 4 to a 1 (after digging through the game-code) 1. Attribute system is a joke. Take for example charisma, there is no difference from a charisma 1 player to a charisma 10 player (this does not affect dialogue options or anything else you would expect).
