God awful turd... just like my dishwasher

I'm so disturbed by this game... terribly disappointed. I played the original Wasteland on a Commodore 64 and still consider it to be one of the greatest games ever made. If I had to make a top ten list, Wasteland might be #1. But this god awful POS? I'm not a big graphics person, but come on...

I revised my score from a 4 to a 1 (after digging through the game-code) 1. Attribute system is a joke. Take for example charisma, there is no difference from a charisma 1 player to a charisma 10 player (this does not affect dialogue options or anything else you would expect).

Wasteland 2

One of the biggest successes from the age of the Kickstarter is now out in the wild. Will backers be happy with how it turned out?

+ Engaging world; plenty of options; replay value; huge adventure

- Some of the combat can get a bit monotonous; as can levelling and inventory management

Wasteland 2 review

To say this game will have you thinking of Fallout constantly is an understatement. This is for obvious reasons. However, it's not this game's connections to the Fallout series that makes it a great purchase - Wasteland 2 simply performs exceptionally well.

+ Good sense of exploration; + Solid tactical battle implementation; + Highly immersive story telling

- Lack of control at key points in narrative; - Buggy auto-save can cause issues

Wasteland 2 review

Wasteland 2 had two things every great Kickstarter campaign needs: nostalgia and a celebrity developer prepared to sever all ties corporate publishers. Has Brian Fargo delivered on the hopes of thousands of willing gamers? Ben Allen has the verdict.

Gigantic, well-built and evocative game world; Excellent voice acting; Solid turn-based combat system; Chock full of weighty moral choices with both emotional and story consequences

A bit dated graphically and in one or two mechanical ideas
