Wacom make great graphics tablets, I have three of them and they all work great. The only gripe (hence the 4 stars) I have is that they're way too expensive in what is becoming a shaky market for them. Apple will eventually eat their lunch if they don't start to get a bit cheaper.
For editing and manipulating images you can't beat a tablet. Well actually you can. You can buy a dedicated touch screen device made by the same people. On the other hand if your not ready to part with the better half of two grand, and don't have the space this is also a good way to go.
Durable; Easier To Use Than You'd; Great Features; Lightweight; Simple Controls

My Wacom Intuos Pro tablet is everything I thought it would be. My only other comment is that it takes a fair amount of practice to move from using a mouse to a tablet. But it's worth it.
It's an excellent size; much more aesthetically pleasing than my previous tablet; and comes with extra nibs which is very convenient
It was a little difficult to get used to the buttons on the side; they don't have labels on them and I have to look at the sleeve the tablet came in
The mouse! The tablet is great but I miss the mouse SO MUCH! I hear all their reasons for not including it anymore but my opinion is that if you want to disable touch, you should be able to opt for the mouse. MOST things work well with a pen but still, some things are just better with a mouse.
I have been through the dark netherlands of formidable levels of stress and despair, only to arrive somewhat intact, albeit happy, in the land of Wacom one again. I had a Wacom Bamboo as my first pen tablet and had no idea how used to the touch controls I had become.
It's great, I've been using it for a while now, and the results are as good as any other Intuos pro tablet. The size will not really affect the actual performance because it just changes the speed of the stylus (which can be set to slower in the pen settings).
Received the small sized tablet in good time. It's larger than expected, with a postcard sized drawing area. Set up was easy with connection to the Mac a straightforward exercise. In use the tablet is very solid. Definitely recommend - very happy.
Seemless integration on my IMac. The pressure sensitivity is an awesome addition to my Adobe Photoshop tools. :)
