I bought this for its centre pole pan system to allow postioning over objects on a flat surface as well as the extra height it provides and being able to move only one of the legs to get that 'just right' lens angle.

I like all the ways you can move the ball head with the tiltable center column. This is really good for macro photography and a nice sturdy everyday tripod. Would buy again.

Surprised for the quality, I had a Velbon cheap tripod, broken after 5 years( I did not used with violence). As I am learning photography, teacher said to pay more to get a good one. I saw this item in store but did not decide cause i found it expansive for this brand.
