I also have read that there are some tweaks that may get the game to run but I think it is ludicrous that you have to tweak the stupid settings to even get the game to run. Terrible company.

Looks to be a good quality shooter if only I could get it to load

I have a relativly high end system with a AMD video card 5770; the game will not run past the beginning movie; I have read on the forums that AMD cards do not run the game well; when I read the requirements I also noticed that AMD cards didn't seem to be supported.

So a while back I asked to review a game for OnLive and they generously said "sure, have a couple" so I picked a second game called The Darkness II simply because I loved the trailer with a twitchy guy standing in the dark babbling about the game.

I bought this game for my son who played it many years ago when he was a child. He loved getting the old school game but when he tried to install it on his laptop it would not install. I did not realize it will not play on a newer system so now he cannot play it.

Being new to video games, it was quite difficult to know what buttons do what and what you need to do to accomplish finishing the game. So. I looked up on the internet instructions on how to play. This did not come with any directions. Once I got the instructions it was really fun to play.

Definitely worth your time. It's a great-looking game if you love graphic novels, and they absolutely nailed the painted comic style. As comic-esque games go, only Dishonored and The Wolf Among Us achieved this kind of look successfully (although TWAU emulates an inked style rather than a painted...

Just what a game. Fantastic (if a tad complex) narrative, beautiful visuals, and really great, multi-layered combat. I just can't stop playing it.
