At around 30% cheaper than the price of the Canon and Nikon alternatives, the Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD is an affordable alternative to the OEM offerings, plus it offers the added benefit of an effective image stabilisation system.

Nowhere on the website does it say it's a grey import. do not expect proper warranty cover!
After one year of regular usage the wide rubber band, the one you spin to zoom, stretched and became loose and now moves along the lens so I need to pull it back, where it should be, every 30 min. It does not affect good image quality but I would never buy a Tamron lens again.
Simply put, you won't find a better 24-70 on the Nikon side for this little. Sigma may have theirs, but the image stabilization isn't NEARLY as effective.
Great sharp lens. I bought it because it was cheaper than the Nikon equivalent, but this also has VC which no other 24-70mm has on the market.
Im very surprised with the quality of this lens, im using this lens for video and is awesome!! very Robust, excellent build quality, the image quality is great!! super sharp and bright.
This Tamron lens is more than suitable as an alternative to Canon's flagship 24-70 f/2.8 II. The lens is solid, well built, tack sharp, and has the benefit of IS! Images produced have wonderful color and clarity.
Wonderful color; Tack sharp; Nice Solid Build
Zoom ring a little stiff
I took an egg away for the somewhat slow AF and lower image quality (Compared to the Canon). Don't get me wrong though: If you use stabilization a lot this is an excellent choice and bargain! The image quality honestly is quite good (just not as good as the Canon).
Vibration Compensation works great Fast 2.8 Accurate Auto-Focus (on my Canon T3i
Not as good image quality as the Canon 24-70 2.8L II (but close; I think it is at least as good as the Mark I) Auto-Focus seems slow, and not accurate good in AI Servo $1000 or so less than the Canon
This lens is amazing gear for potrait photography. Just got a new one and tried some shots, the results are amazing. The lens is very smooth and easy to handle. It gives a feel of possessing a valuable gear. A must have configuration for street and potrait photographers.
This is one of the best standard zoom lens that every serious full frame DSLR owner should have. And if you already have a full frame body, you should be a serious photographer. This is the most used zoom range for landscapes, indoors and parties.
Consistent Output; Durable; Easily Interchangeable; Fast / accurate auto-focus; Nice Bokeh
