I bought this because, like others, I have kids playing and watching stuff online and was constantly being moaned at because the Wifi was "glitchy." Set up was very straightforward with the app and it just works. I have decent wifi all round and added parental control.

TP-Link Deco M4 review: Expansion pack
The TP-Link Deco M4 is rarely good enough to justify itself as a replacement for the M5, and it makes one-too-many software compromises for it to hold up as the budget-friendly alternative either.
Pros:
- Cheaper than Deco M5
- Easy to set up
Cons:
- Slightly slower than M5
- Bigger than M5

TP-Link Deco M4 (3-Pack)
The router node is fast and shows good range, but the satellite node's performance is merely average. Moreover, this system lacks the anti-malware tools that you get with other Deco systems. That said, its $180 price will appeal to budget-conscious users looking to fill wireless dead zones.

The product works really well. The wifi is now very strong in my house (3 floors). And we get a good signal outside too. I had issues installing at first. The app wouldn't find the units. I then used my wife's phone and it worked. About 30 mins to get it up.

Definitely the Way to Go
After struggling with intermittent/weak WiFi for years the change to this bit of kit was a revelation! In summary my WiFi signal was interfering with those belonging to my many neighbours for many years and was resulting in upload/download speeds of circa 500kbs - despite me having fibre broadband.
