SteelSeries Arctis Pro +GameDAC Review
Putting this headset on and running through my usual selection of – if I'm being honest – absolute bangers, it was immediately clear that the GameDAC and Arctis Pro is a powerful combination.

SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC and Arctis Pro Wireless
Normally you can kind of see a product coming simply because there is a big hole in the market. But These headsets came as a surprise to me when they were announced. That isn't to say there wasn't a big gap in their product line at the high end, but frankly, all of the gaming headset companies have...

nice 3d space stereo sound and build quality
Had two of these to do a custom design on. Kept one as the sound was so good. Great wide sound compared to some gamer headphones that sound really close. Works well with music/production etc too.

SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC Gaming Headset: High Res At A High Price
With so many of the gaming headsets we review landing in the $100 range (and serving up impressive performance), what could possibly justify the $250 price tag that SteelSeries pins on its Arctis Pro + GameDAC
Pros:
- High-end materials exude solid build quality
- Separate GameDAC does a lot for sound quality and available settings
- Well-balanced frequency response
- Comfortable on narrow heads
Cons:
- Very high price
- Headband does not fit well over large heads
- Proprietary connector on GameDAC limits use
- Artificial limit on output

But history has shown, repeatedly, that gaming and true audio fidelity to be largely mutually exclusive - a £100 headset is routinely trounced by a quality set of...
Pros:
- Fantastic sound quality
- Great mic
- Very comfortable
- DAC works well
- Good looks
Cons:
- Expensive for most
- Lacks official support for Xbox One

SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC Gaming Headset
As you may have read in the Sennheiser GSP 500 review, I have been going through a lot of changes in the recent months. The next big change has been related to my career. I have actually been looking for a new position for a while.

Perfect!
Very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, the DTS 7.1 surround mode is awesome for both gaming and movies with surround audio. The Hi-Res (24-bit 96Khz) audio mode is like nothing I've heard before, if you listen to audio files of that quality they really come to life.

SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC
We were quite enamoured with the Arctis 3 Bluetooth headset we reviewed last month (you can read more about that here ), but since then SteelSeries has sent us an upgrade to take a closer look at.
