SteelSeries Arctis 1 Gaming Headset : Comfortable, Breathable
SteelSeries' Arctis headset line has become known for shaking up the headset market like a sonorous, perfectly cushioned Pac-Man and is nearly as synonymous with gaming too. The SteelSeries Arctis 1 gaming headset brings the brand to an even cheaper price point ($49.99 at the time of writing).
Pros:
- Strong sound for the price
- Subtle styling
- Comfortable and breathable
- Detachable mic sounds great
Cons:
- No ski goggle headband
- Bassier than other Arctis cans
- No ChatMix control

The SteelSeries ARCTIS 1 is a good headset for the price that you pay. The headset feels comfortable enough for long gaming sessions while playing the part of a set of great quality headphones. The build quality is also above average for the price point.

- Very Comfortable on head and ears
- Lightweight
- Good volume with little distortion
- Compatible with many different devices
- Adapters included
- Great drivers
Cons:
- No lighting at all (only for those who wish for lighting)

Steelseries Arctis 1 Universal Gaming Headset - Black ARCTIS 1 review
The Arctis 1 Wireless is a very easy recommendation, easily worth the £99. It’s a simple design with lovely sound, a good microphone and easy to use software. Can’t ask for much more, apart from maybe a Type-C charging port.

- 20 hours battery life
- Comfortable
- Simple
- elegant design
- Lovely sound
- Solid build quality
Cons:
- Micro-USB charger
- No Bluetooth

Steelseries Arctis 1 Universal Gaming Headset - Black ARCTIS 1 review
There are things I’m not fond of with the SteelSeries Arctis 1 wireless gaming headset. The main one is that the sound is slightly more hollow than other options I’ve tried recently. Secondary is that the earcups could be just a tad larger.
Pros:
- Headband will fit your head
- big or small
- Soft pads on the earcups
- Mic is clear sounding and good for voice chat
- Compatible with many devices
- most wireless
- Easy setup considering its versatility
- Good price for what you're getting in a headset
Cons:
- Lacking bass compared to other high-end options
- Earcups could stand to be a tiny bit bigger

The SteelSeries Arctis 1 Wireless is a highly versatile wireless gaming headset with a ton of excellent features and great sound quality. We saw great battery life, and pricing is extremely reasonable with $100, if you consider everything the Arctis 1 offers.
Pros:
- Great audio performance
- both for music and serious gaming
- Extremely versatile due to an intelligent wireless dongle implementation
- Superbly comfortable
- SteelSeries Engine 3 software is easy to use and filled with useful features
- Excellent microphone sidetone implementation
- Great battery life...
Cons:
- USB-C charging port instead of Micro-USB would be more appropriate
- No way to get accurate information about remaining battery life
- Doesn't support iOS devices
