Top of the line!

The lens is exceptional. I use it mainly for wildlife. And being it is super-fast with lock-on and tracking when used with the A9, its excellent for birds-in-flight. The 1.4x and 2x extenders are also the best Ive used.

Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens (Sony E) - Brand New review

Slightly better cameras but otherwise, not much of an update - buy the iPhone 14 Pro or switch to Android instead

Better low-light photography, Slightly longer battery life, Action mode gives super stabilised video

The same performance as the iPhone 13, No Dynamic Island or Always-On display, 60Hz screen

Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens (Sony E) - Brand New review

It’s a great handset, but the improvements are so iterative that most of you will hardly notice what’s new.

Action mode offers truly superb video stabilization. eSIM makes it easy to switch phones (with other iPhones). Satellite SOS and Crash Detection add peace of mind.

Many of the specs remain the same as on the iPhone 13. Small battery gains. Photonic Engine isn’t as revolutionary as suggested.

Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens (Sony E) - Brand New review

The iPhone 14 comes to market with the same launch price as the previous generation. At the same time, iPhone connoisseurs were more than disillusioned after the presentation of the new smartphone. Apple leaves large parts of the hardware unchanged and does not dare to change the design.

Top performance level despite last year's chip, Very high quality workmanship, Improved image and video quality, Excellent battery life

Hardly any innovations, Charging takes too long for 2022

Sony FE 400mm F2.8 GM OSS Review

Sony's FE 400mm F2.8 GM OSS ($11,999.99) was the company's first high-end lens for its mirrorless system back in 2018. Its focal length is ideal for bringing distant action closer into view and the lens focuses fast enough to keep pace with world-class athletes, skittish wildlife, and other subjects in motion. It's as good a performer as you'd expect for the price, and its magnesium alloy barrel should outlive most digital cameras. This is a lens for the most demanding photographers, especially those capturing action with Sony a1 and a9 II cameras.Sony's Big White Lens The FE 400mm F2.8 GM OSS is hefty, but that's the case with any telephoto prime that has such a tight angle of view. At 14.1 by 6.2 inches (HD), it looms large over any full-frame camera you attach. The lens is heavy too, weighing in around 6.4 pounds. Add an a1 and you're carrying about eight pounds. The size and weight are not out of line, though; the Canon RF 400mm F2.8 L IS USM for the EOS R mirrorless system is...

The Sony FE 400mm F2.8 GM OSS is everything a high-end telephoto lens should be—sharp, quick to focus, and with a bright aperture for use in tough light. Of course, like any other lens in its class, it doesn't come cheap.

Super telephoto angle of view; Bright F2.8 aperture; Sublime optics; Balances well for handheld and monopod use; All-weather, magnesium alloy construction; Supports teleconverters; Full-speed capture with Sony's a1 and a9 series

Prohibitively expensive for enthusiasts; Stabilization only nets about three stops; Tripod foot isn't Arca compatible

Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens (Sony E) - Brand New review

The Apple iPhone 14 isn’t a huge upgrade on the iPhone 13, yet it still is a great phone with a top camera, good battery life and all the iOS benefits.

Clever safety features, Very good battery life, Reliable camera, Fun colours, You’ve got an ageing iPhone: If you’re on an iPhone 11 or older, then the changes here will make a notable difference.

Stuck on a 60Hz display, Minimal differences to the iPhone 13, You’ve got an iPhone 13: The changes from Apple’s previous phone aren’t enough to warrant an upgrade this year.

Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens (Sony E) - Brand New review

“The iPhone 14 isn't a huge upgrade compared to its predecessor. But with a great design, screen, performance, and cameras, that's far from a bad thing at all.”

Comfortable, high-end build, OLED screen looks fantastic, A15 chip performs great, Good camera upgrades, Dependable battery life, Helpful safety features

60Hz display, No telephoto camera, eSIM might be a pain for some

Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens (Sony E) - Brand New review

The iPhone 14 isn’t much of an upgrade over the iPhone 13, but it’s still a great device and an upgrade for anyone coming from the iPhone 11 or older.

Great camera, Good battery, Emergency features are cool, Still excellent performance

Display could use some upgrades

Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens (Sony E) - Brand New review

The iPhone 14 is better than its predecessor, but it's also more expensive and doesn't have many significant upgrades.

Even faster, with a better camera and more features.

Charger is optional. Lacks telephoto lens. Price has been increased.
