Sony’s FE 28-60mm f/4-5.6 lens lacks versatility and fast speed, however we’ve given it a ‘Recommended’ rating because of its compact size, light weight, optical performance, and its build is better than average for a kit lens.
The Sony FE 28-60mm F4-5.6 is the first truly small zoom for a7 full-frame cameras. It delivers crisp images in a compact form factor, but uses a relatively small f-stop to get there.
Slim, light build, Dust and splash protection, Good performance, even on high-resolution cameras, Nominal breathing at wide angle, Fast, quiet autofocus
Narrow aperture, Omits optical stabilization, Shorter zoom range than some others
Sony FE 28-60mm F4-5.6 is a Variable aperture Auto Focus (AF) Standard Zoom lens with 35mm FF max sensor coverage, and it is designed to be used with E Mount cameras. What type of photography is the Sony FE 28-60mm F4-5.6 lens good for?
Weather-sealed, Autofocus, Covers Full-Frame Sensor, Light weight at only, 167g / 5.9 oz, Hood is not supplied, Lens Extends while zooming, Slow Aperture at Tele end, Variable Aperture

I love it when my expectations are exceeded. While the tiny, inexpensive Sony FE 28-60mm f/4.5-5.6 general-purpose zoom lens did not catch my immediate attention, it made an impact during review.
The Sony FE 28-60mm f4-5.6 is surprising in a couple of respects. One is that for a kit lens it has an extremely modest 2.1x zoom range. Is it enough? Only if you are prepared to compromise on the sort of shots you can get, or you tend to shoot in a narrow focal range anyway. That’s the bad news.
Ultra-compact design, Excellent performance, Fast, silent AF
Limited zoom range, Minimum focus changes with zoom, Quite expensive bought separately
Having shot on Canon cameras my entire life I’ve made the move to Sony and now I must begin to start collecting glass again I bought the Sony a7c with this kit lens to get me started and I’m so impressed with the sharpness it’s obviously not great in low light but for well lit situations produces...
Apple has given select media outlets and YouTubers access to the new iPhone 14 ahead of when it begins arriving in customers' hands on Friday, September 16. There are two models of the iPhone 14, the standard 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and the larger 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus.
A slight camera upgrade, new emergency features, and... not a whole lot else
Better selfie camera, Good battery life, Crash detection and satellite SOS are neat
It’s more like an iPhone 13S, Display is still 60Hz, eSIM transition will be easy for most but painful for some
The Apple iPhone 14 is no match for the just-released iPhone 14 Pro, but if you ignore that, it’s one of the most effective phones around.
Great cameras, front and back, Fast performance, Good battery life, Innovative safety features
Design too familiar, Some average features
It’s a great handset, but the improvements are so iterative that most of you will hardly notice what’s new.
Action mode offers truly superb video stabilization. eSIM makes it easy to switch phones (with other iPhones). Satellite SOS and Crash Detection add peace of mind.
Many of the specs remain the same as on the iPhone 13. Small battery gains. Photonic Engine isn’t as revolutionary as suggested.
