Full-frame goodness from a half-pint camera

While it's a shame that picture and sound quality haven't been upgraded, the iPhone 13 was great in these regards and the iPhone 14 is, too Excellent display Admirable headphone performance Solid build quality No upgrades to picture or sound Familiar design Notch is still present
Sony delivers the world’s most compact full-frame camera with interchangeable lenses, and does so without making significant concessions to performance or features. The Alpha 7C is yet another technically adept, feature-rich E-mount model from the company, and while it doesn’t hit the video highs of...
Excellent image quality, Fast, accurate autofocus, Very portable
No 60fps 4K video, Tiny viewfinder, Older UI
The Sony a7C is gives up very little in the way of features in order to achieve its small size. Its image quality is very good and its AF is excellent, but its small viewfinder takes away from the experience a little.

More like an iPhone 13S. The generational upgrades for the iPhone 14 are limited to a few subtle changes. At the same time, however, the base price climbs to 800 USD, while the only true innovation happens inside the iPhone 14 Pro series.
excellent OLED display, dust- and waterproof, fast Wi-Fi, wide range of supported frequencies, great camera, very fast performance, good battery life
display limited to 60 Hz, charging rate limited to 20 watts, no macro lens, wide notch
Sony has shrunk its best all-round camera, with both positive and negative results.
Completely smooth image quality and best-in-class autofocus. Compact, light, fast, and solid quality with image stabilizer, and very good battery life.
Small viewfinder with moderate resolution. Strange placement of controls. Complex menus and limited video features.
Placing full-frame tech inside an APS-C-sized body shows off exactly what Sony is capable of. In terms of image quality and performance, the A7C matches the A7 III, but in terms of usability, it’s a bit of a damp squib.
Small and light; Kit package well-priced; Fully articulating screen
Handling could be better; Low-resolution viewfinder; Kit lens not the best performer; Single card slot
Sony has leveraged the popularity of its A7 series, creating a full-frame camera that seems impossibly small in the A7C. There are lots of positives here in terms of build quality and performance, but it's lacking a little in areas like bitrate and frame rates when compared to the top tier cameras.
Really compact size; Fully articulating screen; Fast autofocus and smart tracking features; Great build quality; Versatile video modes
Only one SD card slot; No 4K60p; Menu button is in a really awkward place
There is a wide range of full-frame mirrorless cameras to choose from, from Nikon, Canon, Panasonic, Sigma, and from Sony as well. We're just not sure the Sony Alpha A7C is one we'd choose. However, the vari-angle screen may be of benefit for vloggers, and those interested in video use.
Compact full-frame camera and lens combo; Very good image quality possible with the right lens; Good noise performance; Vari-angle touch-screen; Rapid focus system; In-Body Image Stabilisation; Good battery life
Doesn't feature the new Sony menu system; Touch-screen has limited functionality; Not convinced by the 28-60mm lens; Handling compromises due to size; No in-camera raw processing; Small; uncomfortable EVF
