Agents of Mayhem review

Alan is an agent, and his mission is mayhem.

Some good banter from a fairly wild cast of characters; A couple of fun boss fights

Very repetitive; Many bugs; Interior levels are dull; Upgrades are too incremental; Some questionable mechanics

Great vast phenomenal game

Different from most open world games you actually feel like a hero in a comic

I looked forward to seeing what Volition would do with a new open-world franchise. They turned Saints Row into something much more unique than the franchise's GTA-inspired roots, and a new take on that universe could have been a great move for the developer.

Bad attitude.

Agents of Mayhem isn't subtle. The single-player action-adventure game from Saints Row developer Volition is all about being larger than life, with intense superhero-versus-supervillain combat and raunchy protagonists who drop F-bombs as much as they drop real bombs.

Wide variety of characters with different weapons and skills; Fast-flowing and explosive combat makes a great first impression

Storyline loaded with obnoxious characters and expletives guised as humor; Repetitive; monotonous mission design; Somewhat buggy; with problems accessing key features and issues with mission goals; Character upgrades fail to introduce meaningful depth

Review – Agents of Mayhem (PS4) isn't a Saints Row clone

When Saints Row first came out, gamers pegged it as a Grand Theft Auto clone. To many extents, they weren't wrong. It wasn't until the sequels that the Saints Row series stood out on its own with its whimsical game play.

Agents of Mayhem : Review

Volition has been bringing us Saints Row titles for over a decade. What started as something that was essentially a Grand Theft Auto clone, transitioned into something really special that stood on its own as the developers started incorporating an over-the-top story that took a low level street gang...

Agents Of Mayhem : Some games consider themselves serious and some games don't. This one slides straight into the latter category. From the publishers of the classic Saints Row series – one for which I haven't played much – we have Agents Of Mayhem, which I personally feel should be Donald Trump's...

Sonic Mania Review – A Return To Former Glory

In a year where everything old is new again, it seems fitting that one of gaming's oldest franchises gets a new lease of life. Sonic Mania isn't just another Sonic game to fill the gap; Sonic Mania takes all the hopes and dreams for a classic-style Sonic game and makes it a reality.

Sonic Mania review

1992 is alive and well. Christian Whitehead and team turn in a beautiful rewrite of the 16-bit Sonic games with all-new stages.
