As with most higher end speakers/headphones, these need some break-in time. My initial impression was that I may have made a mistake buying these. I stopped listening to them and ran them with white noise for about 100 hours. (4 Days straight). Wow what a difference!
As the vast majority of online professional and customer reviews enthuse, these are fantastic 'high end' headphones, in terms of sound quality, comfort and design. However, although the John Lewis description states that they have sound insulation (like in-ear earbuds), this is not the case.

Great sound They took the HD600 and gave it some Bass and an overall smoothness that really makes it shine ; A lot of Audiophile Grade Headphones are accurate but dead and I include the HD600 in that class but the HD650 does well with almost all genres of music and the fact you can take it...
