This is a great lens if you are prepared to live with the compromises made to get it to this price point. It will need stopping down a little (F8 / F11) to sharpen up the corners. Flare resistance is OK. It is predominantly plastic, but a good glass-filled engineering plastic with a tight fit.
While it's a shame that picture and sound quality haven't been upgraded, the iPhone 13 was great in these regards and the iPhone 14 is, too Excellent display Admirable headphone performance Solid build quality No upgrades to picture or sound Familiar design Notch is still present
Apple's latest non-Pro iPhone is superb - it's just that it's strikingly similar to last year's effort.
Still an incredible smartphone, Brilliant battery life gets a bit better, Excellent camera system gets a bit better
Last year’s Pro hardware, Wireless charging slow by modern standards, No USB-C; it’s now well overdue
Handling and features Performance Verdict Specification Tilt-shift lenses are normally so expensive that many photographers cannot justify the cost, despite its benefits with control of the focal plane and of distortion.
Priced very keenly; Excellent optical performance; Solidly built; Good; solid controls over tilt-shift movements
CA a little high towards the edges of the image circle; Susceptible to flare in harsh lighting
More like an iPhone 13S. The generational upgrades for the iPhone 14 are limited to a few subtle changes. At the same time, however, the base price climbs to 800 USD, while the only true innovation happens inside the iPhone 14 Pro series.
excellent OLED display, dust- and waterproof, fast Wi-Fi, wide range of supported frequencies, great camera, very fast performance, good battery life
display limited to 60 Hz, charging rate limited to 20 watts, no macro lens, wide notch
The iPhone 14 is better than its predecessor, but it's also more expensive and doesn't have many significant upgrades.
Even faster, with a better camera and more features.
Charger is optional. Lacks telephoto lens. Price has been increased.
Even if it sold at its $1,299 MSRP, the Samyang T-S 24mm F3.5 ED AS UMC lens would be an excellent value when compared with first-party lenses like the Nikon PC-E Nikkor 24mm f/3.5 ED ($2,199.95) and the Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II ($1,899).
Wide-angle field of view; Full-frame coverage; Very affordable; Shift, tilt, and rotation adjustment
Some barrel distortion; Should be stopped down for best image quality; Flare can be an issue
This is not a lens for everyone, but if you're reading this, you know that. I find it very useful for three specific situations: To increase the depth of field without stopping down into diffraction (f11 max), To control perspective distortion when forced to aim upward (such as when photographing...
Don't expect to take a lens similar to Canon or Nikon T-S lens... Has very smooth focus ring. Maybe it could have a F32 aperture option. The lock buttons are solid but don?′t pass this idea. The box and package is not very good also.
