Not a cheap option but fast, safe, and an excellent product. Worth the money? Yep, I think so.

This product has made my son happy so he store his games on it, THANK YOU.
It's a good item for backing up lots of items needed for travelling. It is also quite compact.
Greater performance than the T5 and a security model that offers passwords and biometrics. However, security assumes that you use a Windows PC or Apple Mac, and forgetting the password could spell doom for your data.
The Samsung T7 Touch is a great little external drive that’s small and robust enough to be carried wherever you need to use it for storage or as a working drive. It’s perfect for keeping a laptop’s memory clear and running smoothly while you store and edit stills or video.
Small and lightweight, Metal body, Fast file transfer
Initial issues with the fingerprint recognition set up software
Samsung's T-lineup portable media has been increasingly popular over the years. Most recently, the T5 has been the go-to choice for those who need reliable, compact, fast portable storage. The T7 Touch builds on that, improving in nearly every way possible.
Near double T5 speeds, USB-C and USB-A cables included, Fingerprint sensor is fast, AES-256 encryption, Small footprint
Aluminum can scratch and be scratched, Only stores four fingerprints, Limited color options at launch
Samsung takes an interesting turn for greater security with the T7 Touch portable SSD. Here's our full review.
Performance-wise, the new Samsung T7 and T7 Touch Portable SSDs are not earth-shattering. They are both not the most affordable on the market, either, costing significantly more than the Crucial X8 , for example.
Hardware encryption with an optional integrated fingerprint scanner, Compact and rugged design, USB 3.2 Gen 2-Class performance, Includes both USB-C and compatible cables
Write speed reduction during extended operations, More expensive than similar portable SSDs
There are faster and lighter SSDs out there but Samsung’s T5 has been our go-to for the last few years now for good reason. It’s simple, it’s not that expensive for portable SSD storage and as far as form-factors go, it’s hard to beat.
As opposed to Samsung’s X5 SSD, the T7 veers much closer to the template laid out by the T5 to both its success and peril.
Sleek form-faster; Fast transfer speeds;
Expensive per-GB; Not a huge upgrade on T5;
Offering excellent performance and easy-to-use security, Samsung's credit-card-sized, fingerprint-reading Portable SSD T7 Touch is a versatile external solid-state drive.
Built-in fingerprint reader and LED status indicator., Compact size., Fast performance., Available in capacities up to 2TB., Three-year warranty.
Relatively expensive., Requires software for fingerprint unlocking on a PC or Mac.
