By itself, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE looks like a tempting option with flagship S23 DNA and the right compromises to fit its £599/$599 price tag – but with the regular Galaxy S23 already dipping beneath the FE’s RRP, it seems like it’s too little too late for Samsung’s premium mid-ranger.

Many of the specs remain the same as on the iPhone 13. Small battery gains. Photonic Engine isn’t as revolutionary as suggested.

The Galaxy S23 FE is an excellent phone that gets you access to Samsung's higher-end features without the higher price.

In essence, the Galaxy S23 FE is a budget flagship phone, one that outguns anything in the midrange Galaxy A-series line-up but is just a few paces short of Samsung’s current-gen flagship phones.
