Overall Ring Fit Adventure is an enjoyable game. If you enjoy games that encourage fitness then this is one to grab. At no point is this a proper replacement for getting out and walking, or more vigorous exercise.

This exercise-focused peripheral might not be for everyone, but if you want to spice up your boring workout with a light-hearted adventure game then the Ring Fit Adventure might be for you. It's a great way to fit in some exercise under the guise of an RPG. Just don't expect it to be as effective as the gym.
Surprisingly fun RPG; Targets specific muscle groups; Mini-games galore; Can customize workouts;
Only works with one game at launch; Pricey peripheral; Ring has poor grip; Novelty factor may wear off
Ring Fit Adventure offers an inventive fitness RPG that doesn’t quite have all the moves.
Although fun as a gaming-meets-exercise idea, we're not sure you'll have the inclination to play this often. But if you do, you'll be grinning from ear to ear and fully energised from the experience.
Easy to use; Fun to play; Mini-games look great; You'll need to exercise to play
You'll need to exercise to play; Has potential to tire; Won't work with Switch Lite
A vastly more interesting experience than Wii Fit that’s good enough to get RPG fans interested in fitness and fitness fans interested in role-playing games.
The role-playing elements are impressively involved, including experience points, skill trees, and relatively nuanced combat; Exercises are as demanding as you want and the Ring-Con works perfectly.
The levels can get repetitive and there was no need to make the story and dialogue quite this silly and uninteresting.
A proper workout, and a very enjoyable one at that
Well-made accessories; Enjoyable and surprisingly deep Adventure mode; Minigames are great; You really do feel the burn
Leg strap comes loose too often; Battles go on a bit; You really do feel the burn
If you're a gym addict you probably shouldn't throw out your membership card just yet, but for everyone else looking to get fitter, this is a fantastic way to do it that won't bore you senseless.
History has shown that Nintendo isn’t shy about inserting gimmicks into its games. Take a trip down memory lane to remember peripherals like the Power Glove or R.O.B., for instance, or look back on much more recent examples like Skyward Sword and its controversial motion controls.

Nintendo has made fitness fun again with Ring Fit Adventure, with a package that's as easy to use as it is a great workout.
Makes exercising a game; Surprisingly fun adventure; Genuine workout guaranteed
Leg band can be unruly; Won't be for everyone
Remember that Wii Fit thing? Nintendo's back at it again with Ring Fit Adventure, another fitness game that initially seems like a load of old gimmicky nonsense until you actually start playing it.
