Conflicts with other components

Real great headset - It's a replacement for my older Plantronics RIG. Surround sound is s real nice feature, as well as the flip-up mic. However, I am sad to see the volume controls go. Excellent headset overall however, am really happy.

As an extreme heavy user of headsets, this is one of the nicer ones a person can buy for the price point. However, there are some significant downsides to consider if you plan on using this headset all the time, everywhere playing with randoms in online games.

Appears to be durable as &#%$. This is coming from a person that bought this headset as an interm replacement headset while I fix my other brand The overall design keeps the weight of the headset light.

The largest weakness I can find is that this headset does NOT have an inline volume control; If you need to drop the volume of the audio going to your head; They appear to want you to either adjust the complete output from your system or use the Planatronic's console for audio control The 2nd...

I bought these three years ago. They've held up with aggressive use, and are starting to tear at the cord from poor cable management. If I could take better care of them they'd honestly last another two at least.

I purchased this headset yesterday and i have already come across a rather annoying problem the microphone picks up a lot of what comes out of the speakers of the headset audio quality is decent but there are better options out there for this price range.

In conclusion, this headset completely blows away the base model Plantronics RIG 500, proving to me that you're either going to have to save up for this 500 HD model, or spend your money elsewhere. Once again this headset is a breeze to use.
