Tack sharp, small, great contrast

Just purchased this for my OMD E-M5. Pictures look great! It focuses a little slow on this camera but that's to be expected since it's not a Panasonic. I purchased this instead of the Oly. equivalent because this one is sharper.

Compact; Inexpensive

Panasonic LUMIX G 20mm F1.7 II ASPH Lens Silver - BRAND NEW review

I've been using this glass for about a month now. Very sharp (quite noisy while focusing as you will know if you read or watched a single review of it), nicely build and great for traveling due to compact size. I like how f/1.7 separates subject from the background (almost a 3d feeling).

Panasonic LUMIX G 20mm F1.7 II ASPH Lens Black - Brand New review

While it's a shame that picture and sound quality haven't been upgraded, the iPhone 13 was great in these regards and the iPhone 14 is, too Excellent display Admirable headphone performance Solid build quality No upgrades to picture or sound Familiar design Notch is still present

Panasonic LUMIX G 20mm F1.7 II ASPH Lens Black - Brand New review

Apple's latest non-Pro iPhone is superb - it's just that it's strikingly similar to last year's effort.

Still an incredible smartphone, Brilliant battery life gets a bit better, Excellent camera system gets a bit better

Last year’s Pro hardware, Wireless charging slow by modern standards, No USB-C; it’s now well overdue

Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f/1.7

Given its 17.3x13mm sensor, the standard lens for a Micro Four Thirds camera (according to the rule of using the diagonal length of the sensor) ought to be about 22mm. That is close enough to 20mm for this lens to be viewed as a standard optic, especially given its fast f/1.7 aperture, which echoes...

f/1.7 fast aperture

slightly noisy AF

We compare the two Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 lenses to see if there are any additional benefits with the new version II lens.

Same excellent image quality as the original; Improved build with metal construction; Slightly improved resistance to flare; Improved design

Same focus system as old lens; Increased price

The picture below illustrates the lens's angle of view (taken from our standard position):

Extremely small size and light weight - the perfect match for the E-P1 and GF1; Fast maximum aperture; Impressive image quality at all apertures; Good build quality; proper manual focus ring and non-rotating front element

Comparatively expensive (at least at launch; No lens hood

Panasonic LUMIX G 20mm F1.7 II ASPH Lens Black - Brand New review

More like an iPhone 13S. The generational upgrades for the iPhone 14 are limited to a few subtle changes. At the same time, however, the base price climbs to 800 USD, while the only true innovation happens inside the iPhone 14 Pro series.

excellent OLED display, dust- and waterproof, fast Wi-Fi, wide range of supported frequencies, great camera, very fast performance, good battery life

display limited to 60 Hz, charging rate limited to 20 watts, no macro lens, wide notch

Panasonic LUMIX G 20mm F1.7 II ASPH Lens Black - Brand New review

The iPhone 14 is better than its predecessor, but it's also more expensive and doesn't have many significant upgrades.

Even faster, with a better camera and more features.

Charger is optional. Lacks telephoto lens. Price has been increased.
