Both the battery that came with the camera and the spare I purchased at the same time have failed. The original battery failed after about 18 months and the spare battery has now also failed 12 months later. I've had other similar batteries last for years. Sounds like a quality issue. Purchased a replacement Duracell battery 12 months ago and this is going strong so I'm going to buy another one to act as a spare. I'm definitely not buying another one of these only to have it fail in 18 months. Like the camera but the batteries have been very disappointing.

The battery stopped charging after 3 years... I need to buy a new one now... Expensive product considering it is not durable.
