Nokia C5

Nokia is good at making simple candybar phones and the C5 is a good example. The handset is made from a combination of plastic and aluminium, which feels pretty light in the hands. Our review unit came in the white version with a metallic silver band that runs along the sides of the device.

Excellent keypad Good set of connectivity features Free real-time navigation with Ovi Maps Good battery life Snappy performance

A few minor design flaws Doesn't support Wi-Fi Camera doesn't have autofocus

Although threatened by Apple, Blackberry and Android in the high-end smartphone market, Nokia still has a firm grip on the budget market. The C5 is a simple handset that ticks all the boxes, but is it worth the asking price?

: Design; Build quality : Plastic screen smudges and scratches easily; Cluttered interface; Mediocre image quality; No Wi-Fi; Poor viewing angles

"Cool phone but software is buggy"

I bought this Nokia because I mainly needed a phone to call only, so not a smart phone. But I was very disappointed. I remember Nokia was a big manufacturer for this kind of phones. Instead I found this extensive phone very buggy. Sometimes the phone crashes and it restart automatically.

Light; cool design

Expensive; poor software; buggy

Quality robust t9 handset, old school but brilliant

If you want a t9 button handset then you won't go wrong with a Nokia c5. It's built to old nokia robust build quality and call quality is clear in both directions. Battery life is excellent between 3 and 5 days. If smart phones are not for you then get one of these c5s.

About time nokia made a normal phone again only they get so close again and fall at the last hurdle. No wifi ? why? Nokia could do better yet another missed opportunity.

Classic Design standard keypad

Too small and it needs a buigger screen with touch.

Nokia C5 in-depth review -

The C5 is the latest simple but stylish handset from Nokia - the C series is designed to satisfy people wanting what's called a voice-centric device. Yes, that's right, one designed to make and receive calls!

Quiet good looks; GPS with free Ovi Maps; light and manageable

Limited extra features and functions
