Nokia C5 Review

The Nokia C5 is a very compact smartphone - it has dimensions of 112 x 46 x 12.3 mm and weighs about 90 grams. It has a simple design and excellent build quality. The 2.2 inch display covers most of the front face along with the keypad.

Turning on the Nokia C5 for the first time is like stepping back in time - in a good way. If you've used a Nokia handset before or any mobile phone from the last ten years you'll feel right at home with the Nokia C5.

Nokia C5

Nokia brings its latest smart phone, which is called C5. All the mobile phone makers seem to be in a race to launch new mobile phones. Within a month of the announcements of whole new range of mobile phones in the Mobile World Congress, 2010, Nokia introduced its latest model.

3.15 MP Camera; Social Network accessibility; Up to 16 GB expandable memory

No Wi-Fi

Nokia C5 review Review

The handsome C5 is a cheap, old-school phone with some modern features thrown in, and the end result is very pleasant indeed. Big keys make it easy to bash out texts, 3G connectivity enables speedy Web browsing, and the interface is clear and straightforward.

Simple interface; Massive; comfy buttons; Great build quality; 3G support

No Wi-Fi connectivity; Occasionally disruptive pop-up messages

Nokia C5

Nokia's lower end and mid range handsets might not offer the bells and whistles of the leading edge phones, but they can be solid workhorses. The C5 is a case in point. Just be aware when eyeing up the specs that its small screen means it can't do some things nearly as well as bigger screened...

Nokia C5 review

The Nokia C5 won't get you excited, but if you're after a relatively inexpensive smartphone and aren't interested in touchscreens then it may be worth a look.

Nokia C5

The Nokia C5 doesn't excite, but it won't disappoint, either. If you're looking for a basic handset with smartphone-like features, the C5 is worth considering. It's a neat, compact and affordable mid-range device that delivers for the most part.

Excellent keypad; Good set of connectivity features; Free real-time navigation with Ovi Maps; Good battery life; Snappy performance

A few minor design flaws; Doesn't support Wi-Fi; Camera doesn't have autofocus

Although threatened by Apple, Blackberry and Android in the high-end smartphone market, Nokia still has a firm grip on the budget market. The C5 is a simple handset that ticks all the boxes, but is it worth the asking price?
