I originally used only primes with my D810, but the price on a refurbed 24-85 was irresistible. It's not a low light lens, but it's become part of my daily kit. It's small, light and when stopped to f5.6 or f8 very sharp and the VR works. It's become one of my favorite lenses.
Amazingly sharp, lighter than the pro level, and fast. A nice travel lens when you don't need 2.8. Several favorable reviews (Thom, Nasim, Ken) prompted me to give this lens a try, and with Amazons' terrific return policy I had nothing to lose.
This is a great lens, it exceeded my expectations and has become my go-to lens for out-and-about general photography.
This is now my all time favorite lense. I've owned this lens before and was very happy . It's focus is lightning fast and precise . It rarely needs to refocus and when it does it's quick and quiet . With Minor readjustments . The lense is very sharp . A comfortable size and weight .
A NON-TECHIE REVIEW If you want to read all about the many technical details of the Nikon D610, this review is not for you. Several impressively sized books on the subject are available, the one that I purchased, just after getting the camera, manages to baffle rather than de-bunk whilst the...

I have used this many times in the last three weeks and am happy with the results as far as sharpness, clarity and VR so far. I shoot landscape so I am almost always at f/7-f/13. And at $397 I can't see getting anything better.
reviews tend to be all over the place for this lens. I purchased an early release, and it proved to be a sharp lens with weak corners on my D800E. Others with this lens have found it disappointing, so it's worth testing before purchasing.
Light weight; inexpensive; very sharp (in the center); VR extremely effective; at its best shooting distance
Distortion; QC (IQ varies greatly between samples); horrible bokeh; weak corners; IQ falls off above 50mm
First of all lets look about its specifications: -It has a 24.3 MP cmos sensor . My Views Its a great camera. Great for professionals.According to my budget I had chosen two dslr. First is Nikon D610 and the other was D7100. But after trying both the dslr I settled for D610.
As I have pointed out in the beginning of this review, the Nikon D610 is what the D600 should have been when it was initially launched. Without fully acknowledging the dust issue on the D600, Nikon released the D610 as if it was a whole different camera.
