English amplifier extraordinaire Marshall is back with another pair of headphones: the Major III Bluetooth. As the name suggests, these cans are the third-generation in the largely successful Major headphones lineup.
Fantastic sound quality; Battery life that goes on for days; Design that resembles Marshall's iconic amplifiers
Not a huge amount; A carry case would be nice but otherwise we can't think of many faults
Good quality and sturdy build, though to be fair I did expect a pouch or something to be included. Clamps a tad tight, and gets uncomfortable when listening in long periods but the sound quality is superb.
The Marshall "Major" are one of three models of headphones made by the famed amplifier manufacturer. They are closed back, on-the-ear folding headphones, well suited for use with portable audio sources.
Build Quality; Versatile; Passive Noise Canceling
Not Good For Extended Use; Sound Quality
In fact, even the soft leather headband is wrapped with Marshall's own Tolex flexible vinyl fabric that has covered Fender guitar amplifiers and Coffin Case guitar cases since the 1960s. Here, it acts as an extra layer of protection against natural elements while you wear them outside.
The uniquely attractive Marshall Major headphones eliminate outside noise and exhibit an ample sound stage that complements any type of music
The vinyl ear cushions retain heat and the over-ear design can be uncomfortable after several hours of continual use
Obviously, there's a plethora of great headphones out there, many of which we rate extremely highly. But we've not seen a pair of headphones that can deliver the same sound - both quality and volume - at this price. Just £100 Wow. They're thoughtfully designed, comfortable and sturdy.
Excellent audio quality; Minimalist design; Very comfortable
Not quite in Dre's league
Very comfortable on the ears, lead fits perfectly in the phone, these have a superior sound quality where every single word in a song can be heard, easy to answer your phone with the click of a button placed perfectly on the lead, absolutely perfect clarity while taking a phone call with no hissing.
The Major III is better than the Major II that I had a couple years ago. Soundwise, the upper treble (6 khz and above) and lower bass (40 hz and below) are a little weak compared to the average hi-fi or flagship headphone, but boosting those is very simple with any phone and decent equalizer.
The headphones are pretty sturdy and the sound is okay but for the price, it should be better. I've been told the microphone is quiet. Overall they look and feel great and the cord is high quality but if you're looking for amazing sound quality look elsewhere
They give the great sound that is always expected to get from all of Marshall's products. They are comfortable to wear for hours and they look great letting everyone know what you are listening on.
