Marshall Major Headphones Review

The Marshall "Major" are one of three models of headphones made by the famed amplifier manufacturer. They are closed back, on-the-ear folding headphones, well suited for use with portable audio sources.

Marshall Major

In fact, even the soft leather headband is wrapped with Marshall's own Tolex flexible vinyl fabric that has covered Fender guitar amplifiers and Coffin Case guitar cases since the 1960s. Here, it acts as an extra layer of protection against natural elements while you wear them outside.

The uniquely attractive Marshall Major headphones eliminate outside noise and exhibit an ample sound stage that complements any type of music

The vinyl ear cushions retain heat and the over-ear design can be uncomfortable after several hours of continual use

Marshall Major Pitch Black review

Obviously, there's a plethora of great headphones out there, many of which we rate extremely highly. But we've not seen a pair of headphones that can deliver the same sound - both quality and volume - at this price. Just £100 Wow. They're thoughtfully designed, comfortable and sturdy.

Excellent audio quality; Minimalist design; Very comfortable

Not quite in Dre's league

Superior Quality

Very comfortable on the ears, lead fits perfectly in the phone, these have a superior sound quality where every single word in a song can be heard, easy to answer your phone with the click of a button placed perfectly on the lead, absolutely perfect clarity while taking a phone call with no hissing.

Marshall Major III Bluetooth Headphone

The Major III is better than the Major II that I had a couple years ago. Soundwise, the upper treble (6 khz and above) and lower bass (40 hz and below) are a little weak compared to the average hi-fi or flagship headphone, but boosting those is very simple with any phone and decent equalizer.

Pretty good

The headphones are pretty sturdy and the sound is okay but for the price, it should be better. I've been told the microphone is quiet. Overall they look and feel great and the cord is high quality but if you're looking for amazing sound quality look elsewhere

Marshall Major III Voice review

Sturdy build quality, a fold-up design and crazy-long battery life are all big pluses when you're looking for a reliable pair of headphones, especially if you're planning to use them every single day. The addition of built-in voice control does boost the price up a bit, but it works flawlessly so it's worth it if you dig having the hands-free option. And while we found the bass to be a little lacking, the overall audio experience is still pretty strong. Sure, there are better headphones around at this price point, but when it comes to looks and stamina, Marshall has the upper hand.

Rock 'n' roll design; Brilliant battery life; Reliable connectivity; Intuitive controls ;

Bass is a bit thin; Could be comfier; Not great at blocking outside noise;

Marshall Major III Bluetooth Review

Marshall has been pumping out a steady flow of quality audio products designed in the style of the brand's iconic amps, and its new Major III Bluetooth headphones are no exception. The $150 wireless headphones are an update to the Major II Bluetooth released in 2016, with new drivers and a slight change to the physical design. Audio quality is strong, with full, round bass depth and crisp highs. And if you like the Marshall design aesthetic, you're sure to be happy. However, there are several strong options in this price range, including Marshall's own Mid Bluetooth, our Editors' Choice. Design Much of the Major II Bluetooth's design remains intact, with small, rounded supra-aural (on-ear) earcups covered in convincing faux leather. The earcups feature the Marshall logo and some attractive brass-colored highlights. The main changes, according to Marshall, come in the form of improved earpads and upgraded 40mm dynamic drivers. The headphones fold down at hinges for compact storage,...

The Marshall Major III Bluetooth delivers solid audio performance in a comfortable design—but it enters a field crowded with strong options.

Solid audio performance with strong bass depth and clarity in the high-mids and highs; Excellent on-ear controls; Comfortable design; Can be used in passive wired mode

Can distort on deep bass at top volumes; Connecting cable doesn't automatically power down headphones
