Marshall Major over-ear headphones

If you're a headphone purist and wouldn't dream of hooking up a pair of closed-back cans to your hi-fi, these aren't for you. But for the rest of us, who want a versatile, easy to transport pair of headphones which sound terrific, they're hard to beat. ®

Marshall Major Pitch Black review

Obviously, there's a plethora of great headphones out there, many of which we rate extremely highly. But we've not seen a pair of headphones that can deliver the same sound - both quality and volume - at this price. Just £100 Wow. They're thoughtfully designed, comfortable and sturdy.

Excellent audio quality; Minimalist design; Very comfortable

Not quite in Dre's league

Marshall Major III review

With a design based on its iconic amps, Marshall's new Major IIIs are perfect for those who want to flaunt a bit of rock heritage on their commute. Sturdy hardware and a relatively balanced sound make these a great option for those wanting to upgrade their basic cans.

Stylish; slim design; Great top and mid ranges; Fully foldable

Uncomfortable; Feeble bass; Let in external sounds

Pretty, but ...

I have long used in my home studio the AKG K140, and for several years the Audio-Technica ATH-M50 , a marvel of value, which for 50 € more buries the righteousness Marshall sound level ( but it is true that there in between the headphone monitoring category ...)

Lightweight; Work with almost any device; Cool design and a great cord

Sound quality is poor for all but mp3; No carry case or pouch; No volume control on remote

Hands-on with the new Marshall Major III Bluetooth headphones

Marshall's line of on-ear Major headphones have been the company's most popular model over the years, and now the third generation Major III is about to hit stores in both wired and Bluetooth versions for $80 (£80, $AU100) and $150 (£130, $AU 200) respectively.
