An Amaaaaaaaaazing product. I have been doing a lot of research on 5.1 speakers for last 3-4 months. Had seen Onkyo, Denon, Yamaha, jamo etc. Though this set is not in comparison with these pro brands but total value for money.
Manufacturer: Logitech
An Amaaaaaaaaazing product. I have been doing a lot of research on 5.1 speakers for last 3-4 months. Had seen Onkyo, Denon, Yamaha, jamo etc. Though this set is not in comparison with these pro brands but total value for money.
I bought this system nearly a year ago by now, and I still just love it. I have it hooked up to me computers sound card via optical cable, and even since doing that this system has gotten much better, being able to change everything from lowering one speaker.. or raising another..
These speakers are amazing. 500 watts of clean power. When you turn the volume up there's no denying the fact that these speakers rock!
"The next best thing to the cinema experience.." Logitech Z906 (5.1 Surround Sound System) Since the recession, like many people I have had to make many cut backs and have been a lot more careful with how much money I spend and what it goes on!
Stylish and Modern design; Loud and Clear output
On the higher end of the market; prices close to £300 when purchased new
Price = = = I purchased these Logitech Z906 speakers for around £300 from a local electrical store, however looking online now it can be bought for a slightly lower price of £261.23 from Amazon.
Reliability
Replaced my z5500 speakers, did a lot of testing, the only thing i could find was the subwoofer was able to pack a bigger punch at max load, but as im in an apartment i would never use that much power anyways.
Z906 has its amp in the sub - z5500 has its amp in the control console Z906 made not only for pc users but for tv and console systems as well Distortion free at high levels Hard hitting bass for movies/games/music Looks sexy Produces no heat; where as the z5500 has heat spreaders to control the mass...
Differences z906 vs 5500 z906 165 watts 8" sub- z5500 187 watts 10" sub The console controller can be edited to have +20 sound booster as well as changing the skin of the lcd screen; plus a lot of people prefer the lcd screen on the 5500 vs the 906 but i honestly do not miss it at all Does have true...
i've had these for about 1 month and have been so happy. Amazing sound and extreme bass. I have never owned the logitech z-550 that was replaced by this, which people said the bass was stronger then this one casue of the 10"sub instead of the 8"sub on this but this packs alot of bass, more then...
In all honesty, I can't find a thing wrong with this system. It's easy to install, easy tour and easy to listen to. If your not willing to fork out for a full blown setup in your lounge room this is more than well equipped for the job.
after visiting other electrical stores that quoted $1000+ for surround sound i visited dick smith on mulgoa road, penrith, where a young salesman who was so helpful, showed me this logitech system that i was to use at my new year party, it is crystal clear sound with even a switch at the back of sub
I paid $340 for these, 4 years ago, and they have been well worth the money considering you can connect basically any device to it and it puts out theatre sound quality. Also, they feel really well made and strong quality. But that's what I expect from Logitech.
I have owned these speakers for 4 years now and they work just as perfect as they did on day 1; They have so many options for sound and pretty much any connection you would need; I have mine connected optically to the cable box and my PS4; Then my PC is connected with the analog cables.
The only negative thing I can think of is they make a pop sound rarely when you might switch cable channels too quickly and the sound is up high; It might just be due to the cable box but it only happens rarely so not worth docking these an egg for me because they work perfectly with everything else
